The food is great! Had the bandeja Paisa, pollo saltado, and empanadas de pollo(chicken)y res(beef). Plus some pastries to go. Everything was yummy. Definitely enjoyed the food.

I found this place in Google looking for Peruvian food. I came here two days in a row since I was spending the week in the area. The first day I tried the fish plate with rice and ensalada rusa. It was amazing just like if I was back in Peru. That night I came back and I got causa de pollo and an empanada to go, it was delicious as well. I came back the following day and I ordered Aji de gallina, one of the best dishes I’ve had here! I recommend anyone to come here! The lady at the front is very patient and she is super helpful when I was trying to pick a dish!

This was an online pop-up food recommendation. We decided to try it out on a whim since it's so close to home. I'm glad we did! The service was great, they explained all the different foods and options. Prices are reasonable - the food portions were .... let's put it this way, we had to take leftovers home. Food is very flavorful with a fresh home cooked feel-no frozen or fast food vibe. Overall, it was a pleasant experience. Definitely going back for more!

Casera Latin Kitchen: A Hidden Gem UnveiledMy recent encounter with Casera Latin Kitchen during a delightful event organized by Audrey and the team left an indelible mark on my culinary journey. Nestled unassumingly, this eatery proved to be a hidden gem that I might have overlooked if not for the serendipitous occasion. From the moment I stepped foot into the restaurant, I was struck by its pristine cleanliness and impeccable organization. The tastefully curated decor accentuated the dining space, enhancing the overall ambiance and setting the stage for a memorable experience. The transparent display of pastries, drinks, and empanadas further enticed me, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the freshness and variety that awaited. The welcoming atmosphere was matched only by the exemplary customer service I received. From the warm greetings to the detailed explanations of flavors and spices, every interaction was infused with genuine hospitality. A delightful surprise came in the form of a complimentary pork empanada, a thoughtful gesture that underscored the exceptional service ethos of Casera Latin Kitchen. Now, onto the pièce de résistance – the food. Opting for the beef Lomo Saltado and Peruvian Chaufa Rice with fries, I was met with generous portion sizes that surpassed expectations. The beef, expertly seasoned and cooked to a perfect medium, melted in my mouth with each savory bite. The accompanying thick and crispy fries provided a satisfying crunch, elevating the dish to new heights. However, it was the Peruvian Chaufa Rice that stole the show. As a newcomer to this culinary delight, I was astounded by the explosion of flavors that greeted my taste buds. The rice, flawlessly cooked and infused with a harmonious blend of spices, showcased a perfect balance of taste and texture, leaving me craving for more.In conclusion, Casera Latin Kitchen not only delighted my palate with its scrumptious offerings but also captivated me with its inviting ambiance and impeccable service. My heartfelt thanks to Audrey and the entire team for curating a truly memorable dining experience. If you're in search of culinary excellence paired with genuine hospitality, look no further than Casera Latin Kitchen. Trust me; you won't be disappointed.

Counter staff was SUPER helpful. TONS of gluten free dairy free options. Tamales, arepas, lomo saltado, pernil…and coconut flan made totally gfdf.Unimaginably good. Reasonably priced. Will make a point to return.

The Colombian food was delicious, plentiful, quick, and it all came out at the same time for my large family. Everyone loved it!

I can't rave about this place enough. The owners goal was to create home cooked meals and they did that perfectly! I'm not Peruvian/Columbian so I can't speak to the authenticity of the food but my taste buds don't care what origin food comes from so it's amazing. We were supposed to leave some for my son to try and my partner (who has the most self control I've ever seen) could not stop taking "one more bite". We got the Pollo Saltado, pan de bono, pork tamal, and baked empanada (this one isnt gluten free). Every item's flavor was vastly different from the last. You can tell they don't lazily season the food with the same seasonings. The cashier was so knowledgeable about gluten and cross contamination that it put a huge smile on my face to feel so safe that I wouldn't end up with food poisoning symptoms. He took the time to point out all the options they have which were pretty substantial. THERES BREAD! And not just any bread. Amazing cheesy bread that almost reminds me of a mochi donut in consistency but make it savory. He was knowledgeable to know that the fried empanada is gluten friendly but isn't gluten free due to the oil not being separated. The baked empanada isn't gluten free due to the dough used. So neither is gluten free but they are very knowledgeable as to all the terminology and cross contamination. We were so amazed by the experience that we are considering having them cater for our wedding

I’ve been going almost every day since they opened — such a unique addition to North County! Love supporting a family business. The flavors are rich and everything(and I mean EVERYTHING) is HOMEMADE. Hard to find these days.I get a pastry nearly everyday on my way to work, but their a la carte menu is so good.Definitely worth checking out - a gem of North County!
